If you ever encounter this while running Office on a Mac:
“An unexpected error occured while trying to load the Microsoft Framework library.”
Do the following:
> In finder, go to Documents.
> Delete Microsoft User Data folder. Empty trash to remove it permanently.
Try and launch any Microsoft Office application again.
Voila.

Thanks mate it worked fine for me. Was there nothing in the folder that would be required at some later stage?

There’s no need to delete Microsoft User Data folder. Just rename it. It’ll work the same. Good luck!

Found this on here. THANKS!!! It worked! I renamed it because I was afraid to delete. I’m also having trouble with a bunch of Word docs I transferred to a new computer. Now they don’t open and crash the machine. Not sure if this is a WORD or some other issue. I notice that the “bad” docs all don’t shoe any created on date. Strange!
