The technical section that I am part of organized a departmental event at a hotel of great renown somewhere in Port Dickson. The agendas were better structured compared to last year; the “business” portion was only a third of the whole event. The rest were “being away” from normal business.

Technology is only amazing when it benefits the masses. Apple Inc. for instance is pioneering a new way of how people use the mobile phone.
When answering a call for example, the iPhone turns off the display as you bring it close to your ear to prevent accidental button activation when your ear or cheek [...]


Another positive tone:
Treat yourself well… because no one else in the “real” world would. And that means, put on some fresh clothes whenever you have the opportunity. Wear some comfortable shoes. Give yourself a break from the daily pressure; walk out of the office and try some cuisine or drinks that you’ve had in mind [...]

CB & I first had to hack our way though the congested Alamanda to get all the ingredients. I suggested the dory and breadcrumbs to make fish fillets.

We had an asset level meeting. Separately, I had a laugh with Marwan regarding different operational approach. The alternating crew by bi-weekly shifts seemed to differ in their methods and perspectives. It’s like a ship that changes direction every time the captain takes turn despite aiming for the same destination.
My pen drive gone. Shucks.


The company awarded iPod Nano to each employee. As a token of gratitude.

I appreciate the gesture. Puts all of us in even more difficult situation, if you know what I mean.


Wore suit to work. Just for the fun of it.
I learned 2 things today:
1) Quiet doesn’t meant the person is not productive
2) If a method is proven to work, that doesn’t mean it is the only way to do it.
