Knee surgery

Operation day.

Mum and Alya accompanied me throughout. Dad called. He also spoke to Dr. Ismail on the phone.

A 10-month old boy went for surgery first. Obstructed hernia it seemed. I had no idea what complication that is. All I knew was he had to go under the knife first.

Then me. I didn’t know that the actual chisel, hammer, and drill were going to be involved! Dr. Rose the anesthetic expert first jabbed a needle on my back. Dr Ismail then reconstructed my ACL using the patella’s tendon. It’s called an autograft. He screwed in each end to femur and tibia. (Guide)

Dad was actually on his way back to Bangi. Alya accompanied me until late. Everybody came except for K.Long & family. Mum & dad suggested Ashbi to stay back. I noticed his hesitance so I politely declined the offer. I’d get the nurse to help me. I doubted that Ashbi would be able to stay alert anyway. He sleeps heavily.
