I was browsing through TMNet website on what else can Streamyx offer:

Whoever takes the RM188 for 2Mbps download speed is an idiot.

Maxis broadband is hell today. I am a customer and I have a say.

The IP is there. There is a connection. The modem is transmitting out, requesting data.
But there is just no data coming in.
I hope they will improve tomorrow.
Zid, Maxis Broadband crap la! Orang Maxis sendiri cakap. Bertukarlah ke Streamyx
Have you tried changing the DNS servers to those from opendns.com? My Celcom bb sucks too, but much less so after I changed the DNS servers.
i don’t get it. what does it suppose to mean?
I believe that they are erecting something at a construction site and the sign is to tell that the area is off limits to unauthorized civilians.
But the position of the X is in-ta-ras-ting-gu.
Dad departed early in the morning to take his CheGu around Terengganu to see the schools that his CheGu had initiated as State Education Director back in the days. It’s like he’s bringing the only dad he has now for a tour. Other than that, the Nasi Ayam lunch was pretty special. ”Kenny Rogers” dinner was awesome too…
Later in the evening, I set up a teleconference between my wife and our little nieces and nephew. She had missed them so much.

nice shot of the kids!
I would gladly use this plate number:
MAT 1
Hey, at least it has my surname. And it’s a good reminder too.
I was interviewed by the global best practice team. Apparently the project department had appointed me to represent the technical support team in showcasing the extent of project implementation management. I think I gave them an OK impression. Received some minor comments though. Nobody is perfect, right.
I can’t believe I’m sitting in again for a colleague. Shucks.
In the evening, just when I was about to finish my second helping, dad went, “So who’s gonna join for dinner outside?” Oops.
Chop & steak dinner.

Speaking of life, I reminisce the time when I was back in college, thinking how time was so abundant and yet I couldn’t recall how I filled up those time. Perhaps I surfed, chatted, and ran the track a lot, played soccer, went bowling, tinkered with some electronics with Peter, Chris, or Zach… and so on.
How things have changed when you offered time for money (variably productivity for salary).

I found these two pictures from college period taken at two different times but amazingly close in the angles and focus. I don’t remember marking the pavement or anything.
I can’t remember what I did in my free time when I was childless and single
btw, the road looks so..erm.. sunyi! has kind of a melancholic feel
huhu, mmg hampir2 sama 2-2 gambar tu! nice.. tp mcm aliya ckp, SUNYI. remember those day when.. eh, apa aku merepek ni? i mean, yer la.. dulu slalu tgk gambar korang kat sana.
I can’t believe it’s already Thursday. Earlier part of the week, I was devastated by documentation and training, which I have recovered from fully. Today was just full of fact-finding, discussions on metering again, and so on. There was never a time to sit back a bit and breathe.
Life feels like it’s moving fast. And you can’t help but wish there’s more to life than just work.
In an interview with Fortune, Steve Jobs offered an interesting and, typically, upside-down perspective on focus:

“People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. But that’s not what it means at all. It means saying NO to the 100 other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully. I’m actually as proud of the many things we haven’t done as the things we have done.”
I can’t agree more.
Arrived to office early for some documentation clean up. Help passed a resume to the recruitment supervisor in HR.
Take the time to help someone or give somebody a break. It’s the best outcome ever – to give.
One of the things that I am proud of where I work is the culture and consciousness to safety. Perhaps there are fixes and focuses required to return to the pristine record of zero hurt and zero injury but safety is still very much in everyone’s mind. No job is important enough that it jeopardizes safety.

Recently, we received tokens for being safe off-the-job.
The beacon and the flashlight save yourselves. The hammer & seatbelt cutter save others.
Ouh, the Shell doesn’t have to show up on this? Just say enclosure or something.

Apparently, some people do. streamyx has such inflated price for a monopoly wired base broadband service.
