Macy and Jusco
Saturday was full of shopping. It started off slow, but things picked up immediately after 3.
First of all, we went to Macy. To get there was quite a battle. It felt like a 3km journey deep into an unknown territory – passing through trash sites with stray dogs, multiple half-meter deep holes on the road, small hills, sharp bends, and so on.

It was very crowded. The sky was gloomy and it had rained while we were there.
KLong, Arifah, Aidah and I roamed the warehouse. Muzani and Niza joined up later.

I was only eyeing this piece without any intent for purchase – in case I have my own office at home one day. 50% off.

KLong was more interested in the English design. Price tag: MYR900.00. On its left was a full-leather sofa originally at MYR6,999. Price now: MYR2,999.

Well, we bought smaller stuff instead. Hehe. Everything was like 50% off or something. I bought myself shiny mats (MYR5.00 to 8.00), trash bins (MYR5.00) and towels (MYR15.00 each). KLong bought stools, trash bins, bean bags, and so on.
Afterwards, we headed over to Jusco Cheras Selatan. I thought it was fairly close to the Mines but apparently the place was way past Balakong, somewhere within the vicinity of Taman Tun Hussien Onn! Well, I didn’t know that that particular Jusco was Cheras Selatan Jusco in the first place.
Dinner and prayer. In between, I managed to find the fountain pen and undergarments that I’ve been searching for a while now. The J-card even provided me with some 15 and 30% off.

Certain important documents require a “class” touch.
As we returned home, KLong geared up on preparing the bean bags right way. Mom and I helped her out.

OK, this built-in funnel helps!

Arifah miserably couldn’t wait for the bean bags.

Aidah was a bit more playful and relaxed.

So, is this how they smuggle rice or cocaine? Hehe, just kidding.

There. Happy?

The virtue of patience
Rushing. I hate rushing here and there. Everybody needs me at short notice and expect me to be there at the shortest interval, as if I could literally teleport there. Ugghh.
Be patient. Be patient. Be patient.

We had Maghrib prayer together and Yaasin recital after that.
All the best to CB (for SPM) and my wife, Intan (for final exam, final year).
And to everybody else sitting for final exams. May Allah make it easy for all of you! -

Exercise day
Apparently, Ashbi had manifested a new sense of public appearance that we went ahead and mocked him. Even Adik searched for himself a pair of glasses to do so.

Much later in the evening, we played basketball at the public court within UKM. Alya, KNgah, AbgNgah, CB, Ashbi, Adik and I were there just a little bit earlier than Muzani & Niza.

Afifah was so happily running around in open space, I managed to snap a picture of her with both feet off the ground. Or her left front was still touching it?

Enticing Afifah to bounce the ball.

I worked out quite a lot on top of the 45 minutes jog earlier in the morning and at the end of the day, this is what I’m getting:

A pair of worn out Adidas shoes. Look at the bottom. This soon? I’m changing brands.

Melbourne Sungai Merab teleconference
Dad departed early in the morning to take his CheGu around Terengganu to see the schools that his CheGu had initiated as State Education Director back in the days. It’s like he’s bringing the only dad he has now for a tour. Other than that, the Nasi Ayam lunch was pretty special. ”Kenny Rogers” dinner was awesome too…
Later in the evening, I set up a teleconference between my wife and our little nieces and nephew. She had missed them so much.

Global Best Practice interview
I was interviewed by the global best practice team. Apparently the project department had appointed me to represent the technical support team in showcasing the extent of project implementation management. I think I gave them an OK impression. Received some minor comments though. Nobody is perfect, right.
I can’t believe I’m sitting in again for a colleague. Shucks.
In the evening, just when I was about to finish my second helping, dad went, “So who’s gonna join for dinner outside?” Oops.
Chop & steak dinner.

Happy together
I am little upset over my act for togetherness. I guess money is more valuable. I should know better, everybody has a different threshold.
Mok Cik and CP dropped by for a little something that they want to pass over to Teh.
I’d surely have trouble sleeping tonight.

The Traveler’s Spot
We took the earliest boat back to Cave. I did a little bit more investigation before traveling back to KL.
Dad picked me up. We had a quick bite, the little brothers were there too.
Exhausted.

Something that keeps appearing. You can already guess now what it is now. (picture taken on Wellness trip)

Sounds just like Abu, except he’s six and I’m not married.

ihsan: I am not surprised. I think Abu also experienced something similar: “I have a big brother higher up that I find it hard to relate to” Most importantly, the big brothers like us need to lower ourselves to their level.
