Mini DisplayPort is troublesome! Now it’s automatically upgrading the output to DVI-D. Apparently DVI-I is not DVI-A and not DVI-D. So I had to transfer all of the data to my old PowerBook in order to display it on the screen. Dirty.

What Apple doesn’t tell you here is that – you need to buy this Mini DisplayPort converter to other connection type separately. Until I could find DVI-D to VGA converter or purchase the Mini DisplayPort to VGA cable itself, transferring to my old laptop is going to be a  routine.
