If you’ve been on Melbourne’s tram, you must have seen these flyers:
Not that I dislike flyers, but I can’t help but comment on the conciseness of the message above. If the flyers were for passengers to read, I think it’s very much redundant to persuade them to think like passengers. If the message was meant to say that the staff does think like passengers, then they should’ve mentioned exactly that.
I recommend the header to be this instead:
“We are passengers too.”
Lo and behold, as you read inside:
The “think like a passenger” is the guiding principle from the management to the tram employees, not the passengers.
Beware of your audience.
