Steamboat birthday celebration

Ibu & KNgah departed early to a community project in Banting that KNgah was a part of. My wife is on vacation. Yeay! We did some household chores together and picked up some drinks at Mydin for the next event.

The next event: feast! It was a birthday celebration for many! We had awesome steamboat style food. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves from this point onward.

Delicious protein sources!

Oops, the table couldn’t fit through the door.

Happy birthday all: Mom, dad, Alya, KNgah, Abang Ngah and Niza!

The kids were enjoying themselves.

I ate too much. You can see my size now and the goatee’s reach. Heheh.

All 5 grand kids of Azimat.

Full house photo at every opportunity.

Kelana Jaya wedding ceremony

In the morning, we sent the Kancil for a car wash before headed to a wedding ceremony in Kelana Jaya.

Congratulations, Salami & Hanisah!

Here in SS3/51.

Erm, didn’t know Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim was invited.

Anyways, thanks for having us! Congrats again!

Afterwards, we went to 1Utama for a short while. I canceled one of my telco accounts while Intan managed to shop for a book at the MPH sale. I too spotted a book and bought it. It’s written by Mohammed Yunus, the Nobel winning Grameen Bank founder.

Then we headed straight to Muzaniza’s for a small feast. Thanks Muzani & Niza for having us! Afterwards, I dropped by mom’s to give them the transformers DVD, and returned with my huge receiver speakers. After that I spent about an hour hooking them up.

At the LG booth, I thought I won an LG notebook.

It turned out to be the other notebook.

Gold heart ring

Shinyy! My wife helped picked up my ring at Midvalley. They’ve upsized, removed scratches, and shined the ring.

Thanks, honey!

Visiting Pak Usu in Keramat

Saturday was mainly a visit to Pak Usu’s in Keramat. The house just went through a significant modification. Our visit’s primary objective was actually to see KakLong Fiza, Pak Usu’s eldest daughter, newborn son.

We were sidetracked to review the house’s design.

Tall roof gave the better impression of size.

Commemorative Casio watch

I received another commemorative – a Casio watch.

I now have 5 watches. I can wear one each working day. “Eh, where did I put my Wednesday watch.“

Manir – Seberang Takir – Bangi

It was time to travel back. Two days flew by quickly. We departed from Tuk’s in the morning.

Fiefah and Munief with their great grand mother. They called her “Nyang”, short for “moyang”.

We visited Seberang Takir by Kak Long and Abg Long’s invitation. The place was huge. It’s essentialy the tallest building in Seberang Takir. If you happen to be around Seberang Takir in the future, you can easily spot this building.

The Tower of Seberang Takir.

View from the top floor, facing the front delta.

Nasi dagang? Biasa makaan…

In the midst of everything, Intan & I decided to go to Pasar Kedai Payang via Penambang instead of the normal route of bridge-then-parking lot. Abg Long, Arifah, and Aida tagged along since he promised them that he’d take them around. Before that, Intan, Munief, Arifah & I made a quick trip to Gerai Keropok Tuk Beng and ordered 50 sticks.

The first strategy was to be quiet about the trip. That’s because we didn’t want to upset Munief or Fiefah who would surely wanted to come along.

All aboard…!

Where are we going, Ummi Chik?”

Jalan jalan la! We were looking for the special fabrics for the highly anticipated year-end event.

Trishaw ride.

Yeah, that was awesome! Now let’s go home.

On moto penambang.

Beautiful sight. Awesome breeze.

So that was it. Officially, that sort of ended my break for the first quarter. After wishing each other goodbyes, we picked up Keropok Tuk Beng “fish sticks” and headed home.

The journey was smooth, via Jabor route. Although we departed much later, we almost caught KNgah at Genting Sempah. She saw us coming in as she left the R&R.

Since our fridge and washer took so long to deliver, we actually diverted a bit to Jusco Home center in Equine Park to check out their prices.

Kijal getaway closing ceremony

After the pool activities, we quickly returned to the apartment for the closing ceremony.

Happy birthday CB! Born on Feb 27.

Professor Datuk (5 grand kids now) Dr. Mat Zakaria presented the awards.

Memory remains… Kijal in February 2010.

February vacation begins

Vacation starts! Earlier today I was over at Jalan TAR with Intan. It’s been a while since the last time I was there. She was there recently for curtains and so on. We shopped for several things that we need in the interim and items for the new place.

After that, we visited Pakcik Omar and Auntie Nor at Keramat AU2. Their eldest is getting married this weekend but we couldn’t make it. So we dropped by ahead of time. KakLong and mom were there too. It looked like it was going to be a grand event. Eldest child… of course. The theme was going to be purplish pink. Maybe pinkish purple. I’m not sure… I’m color blind.

If I’m taking pictures through these glasses, it’s not exactly DSLR anymore. Hahah.

Showering of gifts on Friday

Plenty of surprises today.

First was a basket of fruits from an initiative I participated in a few weeks ago.

Then a commemorative Pedometer for being safe.

Then a Cisco IP phone.
